Required In Massachusetts As Of October 1, 2020
As of October 1, 2020 Massachusetts is requiring all 7D vehicles must have a child reminder system. A 7D vehicle is any vehicle used to transport ‘school pupils’ other than school buses. These vehicles are called ‘school pupil transport vehicles‘ and are generally vans.
WHAT ARE CHILD REMINDER SYSTEMS?
This system helps ensure that all children have safely disembarked the vehicle upon completion of each run. Ensuring no child is left behind or on-board an empty vehicle. The system will alert the driver to safely address the situation.
