All National Van Builders Wheelchair Accessible vans are custom-built to your specifications and are fully FMVSS, ADA and Ford QVM compliant. We have been providing Wheelchair Vans, Handicap Vans and Ambulettes to customers for over 20 years. National Van Builders Wheelchair Vans are custom built to your specifications. Ford Transit Wheelchair Vans are available on 130”, 148” or 148” EXT wheelbase in low, medium or high roof. Ram Promaster Wheelchair Vans are available in 159” or 159” EXT wheelbase high roof.

The first variable in a wheelchair conversion cost is actually the vehicle itself. You have to build it off a great base to get a great result. Wheelchair van brands include Ford, Mercedes, GM and Dodge. Base model, door location and optional equipment all effect cost of a wheelchair van.
While we can build on many platforms, National Van Builders is a member of the Ford motor pool, which allows us to pass on chassis dealer pricing directly to our customers in addition to accommodating quicker turnaround times. Ford would be our first choice, but our production capabilities also include GM, Dodge Promaster and Mercedes Sprinter chassis.

Originally formed as a sales office in 1992, National Van Builders opened its own manufacturing plant in 1994 to meet the growing demand for custom handicap accessible vans and to have control over the finished quality of their product.
Experiencing tremendous growth, National tripled the area of its manufacturing facility in 1997 and expanded again in 2011. Our facility in Attleboro, MA is now capable of producing over 50 units per month.
